Jawbreaker was an American punk band Punk rock is a rock music genre that developed between 1974 and 1976 in the United States, the United Kingdom and Australia. Rooted in garage rock and other forms of what is now known as protopunk music, punk rock bands eschewed the perceived excesses of mainstream 1970s rock. Jawbreaker released four full-length studio albums between 1990 and 1995 as well as a number of EPs, 7 inches and splits. Even though they were signed to a major record label for their final album Dear You, Jawbreaker failed to achieve much commercial success during their years of recording and performing. The band split up in 1996 and members of Jawbreaker went on to form or feature in several bands since then. In January 2008, Pfahler announced that the band had recently reunited for an upcoming documentary.[1][2]
