What do you think when you see a black emo and why?
Q. Honestly, I don't see a lot of them and when my friends and i see one they see them posers and trying to be "white". So I'm just curious about what you think. I'm black by the way.

what does the slang Emo stand for?
Q. does it mean emotionaly unstable? or does it mean lack of Emotion?
Asked by Kuraimizu - Tue May 30 00:01:54 2006 - - 9 Answers - 0 Comments
A. It means Emotional (but i believe you are refering to emo people) They are people who act with heightened emotions - usually being those of depression and anger. They carry canvas sling bags with buttons on them, cut themselves, wear black makeup and clothes (next level ontop of goth)

what's the difference between sad and emo?
Q. it seems like people overuse the word "emo" these days. what is the difference between "sad" (a normal human emotion) and "emo" (a commonly used slang term)?
Asked by Dee - Thu May 17 16:28:00 2007 - - 5 Answers - 0 Comments
A. Emo references other emotions, and tends to be characterized as self-pitying. Likely because the 'emo' music scene features artists putting their emotions on stage, but they aren't necessarily sad emotions. The insult is to reference 'emo' as self-involved misery.

How should I punish my 14 year old emo son?
Q. I found condoms in my 14 year old emo son's boxers and he called me a f*cking c*nt for looking through his stuff and went to his room to cry. My husband told me to spank him, I don't know if he was joking but we stopped spanking him when he was 8. He has his door locked and won't let either of us in. What should I do.

A. He's a pussy but otherwise, you should just let him have sex. At least he's doing it safe. I mean.. it's really not unusual at that age and all. Or he's just playing around.

A. Ok. if you want to ovoid being called a poser, then you have to SLOWLY become emo. if you become emo over one summer, people WILL call you a poser. You also have to have the aditude. So you need to be caring, sensitive, and don't be so in other peoples face! And yes, it can be expensive to be emo. if you are looking for cheep cloths, then go to hot topic online, and look at there stuff that is on sale. (it ill be half off)

How to get the Emo look with brown hair?
Q. I'm a guy and an emo but not a hardcore emo. I don't cut myself. I really want the emo look in my hair but I'm not allowed straightening irons. Is there a way to blow dry it to make it straight or something? Also I'm dark-brown haired. I'm not allowed to dye it. My hair is just very slightly curly at the end of each strand but not REALLY curly, just a bit. Thanks.

A. My gf is "a black emo girl".. I hate to label her like that but I will for this question!! I don't see why race must come in to it. Either you click with a person or you don't and it has nothing to do with your ethnicity, I would love to think that in the 21st century this isn't even an issue!! I hope you find someone, but don't restrict yourself to race, just talk to as many people as you can and see who you have a connection with. I didn't specifically set out to get a black emo girlfriend, it just happened one day and I'm glad it did!! good luck :)

What emo hairstyle would go with a round face?
Q. I want to cut my hair and I love the emo hairstyles that I've seen as of late. But which one would go best with my round face? Someone help, I'm going to get it cut tomorrow and need pictures to show the stylist.
Asked by sam_fail - Fri Sep 4 02:03:15 2009 - - 7 Answers - 0 Comments
A. Get a fringe to cover you're face to make it appear smaller and just normal layered/choppy hair. It's not really the haircut that makes it 'emo', it's what you do to it. Ask for lots of layors, keep it at least sholder length. If you're not sure as to how to fix up you're hair, ask them to make it 'scene' or 'emo', maybe they'll help you make that look and just pay attention to what they're doing I guess. Best is to just google and take the picture to them.

Scientific reasons why artistic people are more emo and depressed?
Q. Of course it's a stereotype to say that artistic people are all emo/depressed/super sensitive and live in their own world. However, from what I've seen, those people who are super emo, sad, and have interesting views of the world are generally more artistic. Does emoness stimulate artistic abilities or vice versa? Are there any scientific reasons behind this?
Asked by digimonkid_2000 - Mon Sep 29 15:21:02 2008 - - 7 Answers - 0 Comments
A. People with artistic abilities are obviously more capable of expressing how they feel rather than someone who isn't artistic. Art itself reveals psychological ideas, and though it starts subconsciously, you can become more aware of it and control it. Symbolism is the key. "Art is a lie that helps us realize the truth." Artists are often enlightened because they end up thinking about all the little things in life and have some appreciation for it. It's really hard to explain, but art is an amazing thing.
